Nick the owner does a great job keeps his word on all his promises, and he makes sure you get the best quality roof / shingle for the price. I have used him on two properties and as long as he is the owner I will not use another roofing company. On the first roofing job nation wide was refusing to except liability and cover the roof we had gone through 3 roofing companies then I met Nick and he was the only one to argue our case and prove to Nation Wide NOT ON YOUR SIDE that the damage was due to weather damage and not faulty shingle which is what they were claiming and forced them to pay. Johnson Construction Services out of Carrollton, Texas and now, I believe, Denton, Texas provided an evaluation of my roof "baseball-sized" hail damage in Little Elm, Texas on May 20, 2014 and performed an excellent job on May 22, 2014 Thursday.
I spoke with Mr. Nick Johnson who was able to let me know my options for roofing shingles and the products in the market. I opted for the TAMKO IR Weathered Wood shingle which is more resistant to baseball-sized hail that we seem to be getting more often in the Little Elm Area and it has a limited warranty although the roofing of the house has a 5-Year Labour Warranty.
After the recent baseball-sized hail about 4 months ago, my roof withstood the damage and does not leak anywhere. There is some very minor cosmetic damage when viewed up close but I was informed that this cosmetic damage is simply not warranted. The cosmetic damage is so negligible that you cannot see any real damage. Of course, after researching all the roofing possibilities, the TAMKO shingle brand is still the preferred brand although the only thing that can degrade its strength is the persistent baseball-sized hail damage.
All the workers for Johnson Construction Services arrived as early as possible and each worker had their specific job function to make the removal of the old damaged shingles be done efficiently and still keeping all the grounds clean and clear. Their work was extremely professional even under the most brutal heat conditions they may encounter. They had excellent safety protocols that they followed. They had my permission to start at 7am and they were able to complete the job around 2 or 3 pm.
I was in communication at every level with Samantha Stayton of AMICA and she was able to explain the costs and how the payment process works. The adjuster from AMICA Insurance was prompt and efficient and verified the damage including showing me the exact shingle damage that may not appear visible to the normal visual from the ground.
When I have hail damage again, I will very likely contact Johnson Construction Services again.
